Vehicle Crash With Injuries at Dysart Road and E Washburn Road
On 02/20/23, at approximately 1:10 p.m., The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office, Gilbertville Fire Department, La Porte City Ambulance, and Mercy One Ambulance responded to the intersection of Dysart Road and E. Washburn Road for a car accident involving two vehicles.
Terry Gote (70) and Carol Grote (70) of La Porte City, Iowa were driving Northbound on Dysart Road when a vehicle driven by Travis Mangrich (44) of Washburn turned left in front of their vehicle at E. Washburn Road.
The vehicle driven by Grote struck the side of Mangrich's vehicle. Mangrich was transported by Mercy One Ambulance to Mercy One with non-life-threatening injuries. Terry and Carol Grote were transported by the La Porte City Ambulance to Unity Point Hospital in Waterloo. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Mangrich was cited for Failure to Yield Upon Left Turn.
