On July 26, 2026 at approximately 4:17p.m, Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a Jeep Liberty that was being driven by Tammy Levy and a Chevrolet Silverado that was being driven by Kyle Soldwisch. Kyle was facing westbound and was stopped waiting for a truck to turn in to an address in the 8700-Blk of W. 1st. St. Tammy was traveling westbound and collided with the rear of the Silverado. Tammy was transported to MercyOne Waterloo via ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Jeep was also occupied with five juveniles, all whom were taken to local hospitals for minor injuries via private transportation. The Silverado was also occupied by one other adult male and an infant; both Kyle and male passenger had minor injuries and the infant did not sustain any injuries. The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office has concluded its investigation of the accident.
