On October 10, 2026 at 6:43 PM, the Black Hawk County Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting a motorcycle vs deer accident in the 5000 block of E Donald Street. Deputies responded and upon arrival it was determined that a Harley Davidson tri-cycle struck a deer when traveling west on E Donald St., causing serious injuries to both riders. Both riders were taken to Unity Point Allen for treatment. The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Dunkerton Fire and EMS, Evansdale Fire and Sheetz towing
