On January 18th, 2026 at approximately 8:52 p.m., Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the 14000 block of S Hudson Rd for a two vehicle accident.  

The two vehicles involved were a Ford F-150 driven by Michael Krienert (25) of Traer and a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Randall Jones (77) of Traer. The Chevrolet Silverado was also occupied by Jenni Tieman (50) of Traer. Jones was traveling south on S Hudson Rd and Krienert was traveling north on S Hudson Rd. The vehicles collided head on and sustained severe damage. All drivers and occupants were transported to local hospitals for treatment and sustained non-life threatening injuries. The blowing snow, which caused visibility to deteriorate, was a factor in the cause of the accident. The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Hudson Ambulance and Hudson Fire Department.
