On August 8, 2023 at approximately 11:31 a.m., the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle rollover accident in the 10000 Block of Main Rd. Noah Kepford (18) of La Porte City was traveling north in his Pontiac G6 when he lost control going around a curve. The vehicle struck a sign before overturning in the ditch. Kepford was transported to Mercy One Waterloo by the La Porte City Ambulance for minor injuries. Kepford was issued a citation for failure to maintain control. A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was not injured.
The Black Hawk County Sheriff's office was assisted by the La Porte City Ambulance and Fire Department.
