Driver Ejected in Two-Vehicle Crash

On Tuesday, December 26, shortly before 10:22 PM, sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Canfield Road and Independence to respond to a two-vehicle accident involving a person being ejected from the vehicle.

Preliminary investigation at the scene revealed the individual driving the Impala was heading westbound on Independence and didn't stop for the stop sign. The driver of the truck was heading northbound on Canfield and struck the rear driver side of the Impala. The driver of the truck was uninjured. The driver of the Impala was ejected from his vehicle and transported to Allen Hospital with critical but stable injuries.

Assisting were Jesup ambulance and First Responders. Vehicles were removed from the scene by Ray Mount Towing.
